I’ve always been drawn to people and their stories. The real, imperfect, joyful, and emotional kind. When I first began documenting weddings six years ago as a Central Florida photographer, so much of what I saw felt a little too copy and paste. Same poses, different couples.
So I went off script. I started photographing the moments I wished I had more of from my own day. Grandparents holding hands. Friends and family tearing up. The quiet emotion right before you say your “I do’s.” Those are the moments that make your wedding unmistakably yours. That’s why I photograph weddings for how they feel, not how they are supposed to look.
I’m not here for stiff poses or perfectly orchestrated interactions. I focus on what actually happens. The in between moments you do not even realize are unfolding. Those are often the photographs that matter most as the years pass.
And yes, I love a beautiful portrait moment too. Intentional, artful, and timeless. A chance to slow everything down just enough to create something elevated and refined, while still feeling like you.
